My Internship Experience
by Rozen Nirwani
I am here to share with you all my first ever internship experience as a law student. Last September, I had this great opportunity to work with a non-governmental organization (NGO) named Zariya.
Zariya is a helping hand based in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh which has contributed in developing my skills and motivated me to achieve my future goals in the legal field.
As it was an online internship, we discussed our topics of concern over google meet with the founder and had our own respective groups for communication of important information with other fellow interns.
Zariya is an NGO which is concerned with eliminating poverty and other societal issues relating to education, etc.
And in today’s pandemic time all the essential means to stay connected with the society including the digital mode of education.
Our main task of the internship was to work on “Legal Activism – an insight on cyber frauds” under this topic we were given different tasks every week. We had to figure out our plan of action together.
This activity really developed my coordination skills in a way, then I got an opportunity to develop my leadership skills also by becoming the leader of my group.
I believe that we were able to foster a positive learning environment with each other which also contributed to my learning and problem solving abilities during this time.
I was faced with many questions and difficulties by my group members during their research but we were able to overcome all of them with each other’s support and wisdom.
Through the application of time management, proper organization, discipline and consistent efforts we were able to submit our research on fake governmental websites.
Additionally, my development both with managing my work and other activities improved significantly.
I feel confident of my growth and development, thanks to the knowledge and skills I acquired during the internship. It was really a very enriching experience for me.
