Virtual Internship Experience with LLB Mania: Great Mentors and Good Work

How did you apply for the internship?

For the application procedure applicants had to mail their CV and writeup sample to the mail address of LLB Mania.

Then the screening was done through an interview in which they asked about recent legal issues and some relevant case-laws.

First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression

On the very first day of the internship, we were asked for a basic introduction followed by a detailed orientation about the work we were expected to do.

Everything was made clear about the concepts of legal writing and research.

Main Tasks

The main tasks included regular submission of our manuscripts.

It meant dealing in formats like blogs, articles, research papers, case commentaries etc.

We were also required to reconsider our manuscripts in case of any discrepancies found in the submissions.

Then we were asked to send the work back in a fixed deadline after correcting the mistakes.

Work Environment

The work environment was really healthy with positive criticism on our work.

The concepts where we were required to improve it was conveyed to us. We were also applauded for our good work.

They gave us a proper guidance for everything. We were even assigned mentors for all the doubts we may have while our ongoing internship.

The mentors assigned us various topics to research and submit our briefs.

Good Things

1. Great to develop your initial research and writing skills;

2. Their articles generally rank in top 5 in the Google search;

3. Wonderful level of exposure in terms of experimenting with different fields of topics;

4. Constant guidance throughout;

5. A constructive learning experience; and

6. Less number of interns so that there is more learning and each and every intern is provided the desired focus.

Bad Things

It’s not a much reputed and big blog as of now but the quality process through which they are selecting their interns will surely land them up in a very good place though it’s still amongst the top 100 blogs in India.

There is no other disadvantage or irritant about this internship. It was a wonderful experience.

It was a wonderful internship experience.

Overall there was a lot of learning and exploration in the legal field.

I came across many old case laws, blogs, articles and research papers.

I would highly recommend this internship to every law student.
