How Did You Apply

Sent my CV with a cover letter at aniruddha.bhattacharya1993@gmail.com

I will also like to thank Mr. Atish Chakraborty, who helped me in getting this amazing internship opportunity.

First Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression

It was my first Internship experience. The very first day when I entered his chamber, I was feeling excited and nervous as well. But his gentle behavior didn’t take much time to make me feel comfortable and free. He explained me a case and assigned me some work related to that, and this marked the beginning of my internship.

Main Tasks

During the course of my internship, I was made to handle the day-to-day workings of his chambers and was more specifically assigned the work of attending court proceedings, research on-

  1. Constitutional Law
  2. Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973
  3. Code of Civil Procedure, 1908
  4. Consumer Protection Act, 2019 and
  5. Specific Relief Act, 1963.

I also assisted him in drafting writ petitions, applications, petitions, rejoinders and notices.

Work Environment

The environment was very decent. Mr. Aniruddha Bhattacharya sir along with his all assistants were very helpful. I think this kind of environment is conducive to new ideas and applications. I learnt a lot of new things. I committed innumerable mistakes, but nobody scolded me for that, not even for a single time. The working hours were flexible.

Good Things

Being an intern, I will be always thankful to Mr. Aniruddha Bhattacharya. In spite of having tremendous work pressure, he gave me enough of his time to understand matters which were going above my head. Moreover, he has an extraordinary skill to elucidate any obfuscate matter in a very easy manner. He was an amazing mentor.

Bad Things

Nothing as such.

Stipend (if any)

No stipend offered.

Accommodation, Commuting To Office

Being a resident of Calcutta, I used to travel each day to the Court or his chamber as and when required.

Lessons Learnt

There is no alternative to hard work.
