Duration of internship and timings
1 December, 2017 to 28 December, 2017. 11.30 am to 2.30 pm. For 28 days. No Change in timings.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the very first day of our internship, we were introduced to the staff of V.K. Munshi & Associates, and the interns who are already there.
Munshi Sir’s office is known for its library, believe me, it is huge having all law books which a law student or lawyer aspire to have on their bookshelves. He has a collection of all old and new books including journals, manuals etc.
During the initial days we had to case studies. Then along with Munshi sir’s associates, we started visiting district courts and some interns got the opportunity to visit Commercial Court (New Raipur) also.
We were assigned to study some of the act and have to make prepare a note on it. I had made note on Commercial Courts Act, 2015, Sec.- 138 of Negotiable Instruments Act, HAMA 1956, Section 56-60 of Indian Evidence Act, 1872 and other works as assigned by associates of firm.
Work environment and people
Work environment was friendly. All the associates were very friendly & supportive.
Munshi sir’s more than 50 year long journey as a lawyer will inspire you.
The work environment, the people and the flexible timings. As because Munshi sir is an arbitrator also, I got to learn a lot regarding the wide scope of arbitration.
Also the tasty snacks like pasta, patties, samosa etc. were one of the of best things of the internship.
It depends on person to person. I didn’t found anything bad.
