First impression, First day formalities, Infrastructure

I was made to sit in the conference room. Was given a form to fill and a worksheet which you should fill every day and write the work you did for the day.

On reaching their I was briefed by one of the partners about the rules and way of working. (Many a times you are assigned to a particular lawyer under whom you are supposed to work).

Main Tasks

Research, drafting and assisting associates in clarifying client’s doubts. If you are lucky, you get to attend the training seminars of the firm and also attend courts and tribunals.

You will be assigned some files by your respective lawyer on which you are suppose to find case laws to support the factual argument. You might sometime assist in legal drafting.

Work environment, People

It’s absolutely tougher for the others to match upto this level of hospitality and warmth that the office and staff provided us along with the unlimited dose of coffee, snacks and life lessons.

I was deputed on an Arbitration matter since the 1stday itself which was great as I got the opportunity to attend the proceedings of the same.

Every intern is supposed to fill his daily task record in the form provided, on the basis of which certificate will be issued in the end.

Best Things

The best part was obviously the work environment that this firm had to offer.

Even if an intern wants to know and learn a thing, Mr. Upadhyay and the fellow associates and the partners made sure that the internee was well satisfied and benefited from the work allotted to him.

Bad Things

Difficult to figure out. However, the office could’ve been little bigger considering the number of interns and the clients that used to come in to the firm.
