How did you apply
I applied for the internship by sending my CV along with a cover letter and SOP at intern[at]singhvilaw.in
First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression
On my first day the Founder and Head, Mr. Mohit Singhvi, welcomed me to the office and had an ice-breaking session with me. He learned about me and gave me an overview of the functions of the firm. Gave me a brief history about the matters which were going on and involved me in them. Infrastructure is quite nice. My first impression of this firm and of the people working in it was very very nice, I was a little nervous before entering but the working environment, helping nature and the teaching attitude of the people made me feel very comfortable.
The main task would include Research, Drafting of various Agreements, notices, writs, etc., due diligence, and proofreading. The Quality of work was amazing, I learned and gained a lot from this internship. It was very good exposure. The best part is that everybody is very cooperative and is eager to teach if you’re ready to learn.
Very humble people. always encouraging you to try something new, learn something new every day. motivates you and pushes you to do better. Coffee and snacks! Associates take you out to celebrate.
Stipend (if any)
Yes, you get stipend and it depends on the quality of work.
Accommodation, commuting to office
I stayed at my house so I did not face the accommodation problem. There are a lot of PGs nearby for interns needing accommodation.
The best part is that they treat interns as a part of their firm, like any other associate. they give you full responsibility, you will never be without work and would get to learn so many things that it certainly gives you confidence. also, its not just law lessons but also life lessons which I feel were as great as it gets.
