Duration of internship and timings

May 11, 2015-August 2, 2015

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

The office is very well equipped with study material and commentaries. Also wifi and internet connection were available all the time.

There were no formalities on the first day, all very friendly and helpful.

Main tasks

1. Drafting of Documents.
2. Client Portfolios.
3. Problem summaries.
4. Appear with the senior in court for hearing of the case.
5. Researching.
6. Framing arguments.

Work environment and people

The work environment was good. Seniors are very very friendly and are wiling to teach beyond any limits.

Best things

I got to deal with clients and make a case study report about the issues and problems that they face and explain the scenario to my senior. I don’t think every office offers such an opportunity to their interns. This is one of the best things that i got to do.

It is really important in a field such as law to understand the problems of the persons that are approaching you.

It is important to behave in such a manner as would be comforting such a person and assuring the person that you are going to help them and be with them in times of problem.

It also important at the same time not to get to emotionally attached to such persons, but being able to help them.

Bad things

It’s probably frustrating to some extent that the system itself is very slow and takes a really long time to process various aspects.

This necessarily stalls the entire process of gaining proper access to the correct persons and the delay of justice is assured in such cases.

Stipend

Rs.5000

Biggest Lessons

It is not easy in a profession like law to rise to the top without massive failures and struggles. In the time period that I have interned, that is 3 internships to be precise, it has taught me that there is never a shortcut to any particular task and every aspect needs to be dealt with in all sincerity.

One thing that has always proved me right is that the hard work and the effort taken never fails you and reward is for sure on its way.

Office Timings

The office timings were usually, 8.30 am-4 pm and then a break, and the again from 7 pm-10.30 pm.
