First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

First day formalities was getting ourselves enrolled by giving the exact date of internship, feeding our data on the computer and an introduction session with ma’am .
It was quite casual first day.

Main tasks

Main task included attending seminars, and programs. There was a lot of field work from doing surveys of various Police Station to different agencies.

We even had seminars and events outside Jaipur.

Work environment and people

The work environment is very good. It is a must to internship for all law students at least once. We get to know the problems of the society, the failure of the government and taking necessary steps to see that the the implication of all law are done correctly.

We get to interact with various students all them from almost all good law colleges working together and learning the spirit of team work.

Best things

The best thing about the internship was the feel of being a law student. Going to police stations, government schools, doing surveys on various subjects. Joining people on Hunger strike, surveying coachings and pointing out the failure of implication of law and what consequences may arise.

It was also about interacting with a lot so socially active people working towards achievement of an ideal human society.

Bad things

Ma’am is quite strict about the punctuality.

Stipend

None

Biggest Lessons

Being Punctual. Interacting with a lot of people. Getting to know the working life of an human right activist.

Going on night surveys showed us that how many people are still not being provided the aid that are coming for them. I actually felt good working for the people. It gave me an insight to myself.

Any Other Thing

Ma’am is very strict. Be punctual or face the consequences. During working hours you need to listen to maam and after office you can have some good funny discussions with ma’am.

She a great person, great activist. Above all a great teacher.

Accommodation

We stayed at Bunk Stop which is a hostel for backpackers. There is easy availability of PG around the PUCL office area.

Office Timings

The timings varied for different events. But the maximum time we had to report at 9.00AM in the morning. We had different works and sessions until 5:00PM in the evening.
