Application Process
A letter addressing to the Chairman of the Commission is to be issued by the college, in which details of the applicant such as name, course, year of study, period of internship the applicant is willing to do is to be mentioned. But, this Commission had a criteria that is one must apply for at least 21 days. Lesser than that was not accepted.
Duration of internship and timings
15th December, 2014 – 9th January, 2015
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The first impression was pretty well. On the first day it self I had the opportunity of seating in the court hall of the Commission. There was no such formalities that one had to show except standing up when the Chairman and Member of the Commission entered the court room.
It’s infrastructure is even nice and completely air conditioned. It has proper waiting area as well as reception for people who approach the commission with their problem.
Main tasks
The main work we were asked to do was to attain the proceedings of the cases in the commission that took place and later on read the case file and give our suggestions on the same to the Chairman and Member of the Commission.
Work environment and people
It had completely a very good work environment as people in the commission were very active in their work and even helpful as they very well entertained the people who approached them with their queries and problems.
Even those people are very kind and helped the interns in going through the files.
Best things
Best thing for me was the work environment and speedy delivery of justice.
Bad things
As it provided a very good atmosphere to it’s interns and to the underprivileged people who had approached them, I couldn’t find any bad things about this Commission.
Stipend
No
Biggest Lessons
There are many people who are not even aware of their basic fundamental rights.
