Duration of internship and timings
Duration of internship was for a month from 5th May 2014 to 4th May 2014.
They are flexible about timing. Generally it’s 10 A.M onwards. You can go whenever your research work is over.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the first day I was told to go to Mr. N. K. Gautam’s cabin. He is the administrative officer there. He briefed me about the tasks and organisation. He assigned me one of the member of the commission under whom I was to work for the month. I was told to work under Mr. Praveen Davar. He is a corporative person. I had to report to him at the end of each week with my research work.
There was no task as such, but I just had to sit in the library and research on the given topic. My topic was ‘To improve the living condition of minorities’. I just had to read books and commission reports and prepare notes on it.
Work environment and people
Working environment is good and peaceful. The librarian there, Me. Gunaseelan is very friendly and helped me throughout my intership by providing me with relevant stuff.
Best thing about this internship was that the timing were flexible and the office is located in khan market! I enjoyed every bit of khan market! This internship was the main reason of my weight gain!
To me it was a bit boring as we always had to sit in the library and read books. It was a monotonous internship! Also the research work done was just done for the sake of submitting a research paper.
DO NOT go for National Commission for Minorities if you actually wanna learn something related to your law field. This internship would just make you lazy!
