Name of the organisation: KNM Law Offices, New Delhi
Office details: The office was established in one floor in an Office Building in Nehru Place. Team strength was about 30-40 people.
Application procedure. Internship contact details: I applied through a personal contact.
However, calling up and asking about internships may also work. There is just one lady who manages the HR department.
Days of work per week. Timings. 6 days a week (Last Saturday is not working). Working hours should be 9/10 am till 7/8 pm (If you work around this bracket of time, you should be good. However, depending on the work and urgency of it, you may have to stay till later)
First impression: Horrible first impression. I was the only intern on the first day. The HR lady assigned me a computer and a desk (which I found was used periodically by their Accountant and I had to leave the desk and sit in the lounge when he was working).
But I was assigned no work the whole day, no one spoke to me, and when I went up individually to people to talk about work – I was dismissed.
Main tasks: Primarily related to drafting and little research.
Work environment, people: No associate bothered to talk to any interns and were quite brash. When other interns joined, we were assigned to sit in the lounge.
However, the lounge was used by the partners to eat lunch. So we had to leave when they wanted to eat. The partners, however, were friendly.
Best things: Free coffee and other beverages.
Bad things: Everything else.
Accommodation: I live in Delhi so accommodation was no issue.
Stipend/ month: Unpaid.
