Application Process

You can apply for Kaden Boriss Partners by writing a mail to [email protected].

Make sure you apply a couple of months in advance because the slots are usually booked.

If your CV clears the screening round then you will be interviewed by one of the associates or the Partners.

Duration of the Internship and Timings

The duration of my internship was from 14th October, 2015 to 14th November, 2015.

The timings of the office were strictly 10 AM to 5 PM for weekdays and half day (i.e. 10 AM – 2 pm) on Saturday.

The female interns are strictly asked to leave for home at 5 pm. If you leave late, they will also call to check that you reached home safely which is very sweet.

First Impression, First Day Formalities:

Kaden Boriss is one of the leading firms in India which find a place in the most reputed Legal 500 as well.

The office is situated in the basement and it has a beautiful interior.

Each intern gets his own workstation.

On the first day of the internship, Nikita ma’am showed me around the office and introduced me to all the members of the firm including the Partners.

You are expected to carry your college marksheet, Class 10th and 12th marksheet, an ID proof and passport size photograph.

The dress code for the office is Smart Business Wear.

Main Tasks

The main tasks included research work, assisting in drafting legal opinions, contracts and agreements.

Every intern has to choose to one time on which they have to submit an article before the commencement of the internship and present the same during this period.

Another good thing about Kaden Boriss was that you might get legal research related to any subject, i.e., Corporate Law, Investment Law, IPR, Securities Law, Dispute Resolution, etc.

However, the research mainly revolved around FEMA, RBI regulations and FDI Policy.

You might also get learn a lot of Real Estate laws under the expertise of A.R. Nayak Sir or M&A under the expertise of Swati Ma’am who are both Partners in the firm.

Hemant Sir, who is the founder of the firm and the International Lead, also allots the work to interns and it is pleasure to merely interact with him as he always has so much to share.

Nikita Ma’am who is an associate in the firm is one overseeing every intern and making sure that all the interns are always allotted with some work.

All the partners or the associates give the research work to the interns and explain the legal proposition very patiently which helps you to work on it more efficiently. You can directly ask any doubts from the partners or the associates if you have any doubt regarding your work.

Work Environment

The work environment at Kaden Boriss is something that requires a special mention.

Everyone from the Partners to Associates were so hospitable and warm that you feel a sense of belonging to the place.

Everyone is given a chance to voice their point of view on the matters they are working on which is appreciated by the members of the firm.

Every intern was given a Cake (Chocolate Truffle!) by Preeti Ma’am before the Diwali Holidays which is merely indicative of how sweet everyone at the office was.

During the internship at Kaden Boriss, everyone makes you feel that you are making a difference to the practice of the firm. What else does an intern seek?

Best Things

The best thing about Kaden Boriss has to be its work environment.

Everyone is so patient and encouraging that it drives you to work harder and perform efficiently as an intern.

Bad Things

The only bad thing about this internship was that there are no good and cheap eating joints nearby.

The office is located right behind DT Mega Mall but the food court there is really expensive.

So, I would suggest you to bring your meal box for lunch.

The stipend is performance based.
