Duration of Internship and timings

I interned there for a month of June 2017, the timings for the intern was sharp 10 AM to 7 PM. They don’t let you stay after that, they believe in having a life also.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

As soon as you will arrive at this law office you will observe something that makes this place different from other law offices and that is ‘humility’ which is there in the atmosphere of the office. There aren’t many formal formalities instead you will realize that the team work as one unit and you will be introduced to everyone in the office.

Main tasks

During my internship, much of my work revolved around telecommunication cases, anti-dumping duty. The work really helped me in developing my research as well as drafting skills.

Initially, you will be given some basic work from which you can understand as to how telecommunication law and market operate, and as you learn you will get more complex work which will help you to develop your knowledge as well as skill.

Work environment and people

Ms. Payal Kakra managing Director of the firm is one radiant person, I don’t think anyone who has ever worked or interned at K&T would differ with me. She is charged with so much positive energy which in itself make you work.

All of the associates, especially, Mr. Sushant Chaturvedi will make sure that you understand the elemental areas of the telecommunication sector and whenever there is any hurdle, every person present in the office is approachable, unless they are in a meeting.

Best things

One will be motivated to do their best. In case one faces any hurdle while going through any task assigned to them, the seniors in the office are very approachable. You will not feel like an outsider who is there for a month. Interns are treated as the part of the team. By the end of your internship, you will appreciate the development in your interpersonal skills as well as your work ethics.

Bad things

No stipend. That was the only bummer, because even interns have some basic needs.

I am not from Delhi so I stayed at a PG in lajpat Nagar, It use to take me 30 min to get to the office. I found out later that there are PGs available near to the office so one can also check on them
