First impression: Very good. After a brief meeting with the internship co-ordinator, he introduced me to the other members and familiarized me with the work culture.
Then I got my first work which was a research on trade secret laws and rules.
Main tasks: My main task was to assist associates by helping them in research. I researched on various topics such as Private defense, IT Act, Laws on rights of women in India, Octroi tax, Software Patenting and the likes.
Work environment, people: The work atmosphere was relaxed and helped in bringing out creative ideas. All the associates are really cordial and helpful.
Bad things: There was nothing which I disliked about the internship.
Best things: The homely environment and the friendly nature of the people working there. They were always ready to lend their helping hand and guided me throughout.
Accomodation: I stayed in a Girls’ Hostel situated at a 10 minutes walking distance from the office. The rooms were clean and big and they provided 4 meals in a day ( though I used to have lunch in the office itself).
What did you do to chill: Although I didn’t explored much during my internship, but Mumbai itself is a very nice place to chill out and shop! Other than that there are CCD’s, Mc’donalds, KFC at some distance.
