How was the office. Team strength.
The office of the Red Cross Society is a huge building situated near the central jail on Delhi Road, Hisar. There are several individuals working on different departments of the Red Cross Society.
My supervising office was Mr. Liladhar who was the Principal of Blind School under the Indian Red Cross Society.
There were a total of 7 interns working alongside me.
First impression, first day, formalities
On the first day of internship I was asked to fill the register kept at the office and complete other formalities to mark the beginning date of my internship.
Then I was asked to contact Mr. Liladhar for further instructions for the day’s work.
You have to start working from the very first day of the internship. First day I was assigned a class and a subject and had to teach blind students.
I worked under the “RED CROSS INSTITUTE FOR VISUALLY HANDICAPED” wing of the NGO. I had to teach blind children every day in the Blind School.
I was an active member of their Blind Children Education Program.
Moreover I was an active member of their legal cell where I learned about the functioning of trial court cases related to Blind and Handicapped individuals and also the structure of the Child Welfare Community.
Work environment and people
The work environment at the school was amazing and educational. The people there were very friendly and cooperative. Interacting with people of almost same as your age and teaching them stuff was altogether a different experience.
It was very great working with other individuals in their legal cell as the people there were really helpful and aided a lot in attaining the knowledge about the court procedures and helped in studying various cases.
