It is very easy to get internship in IVF and even get a chance to meet Kiran Bedi.
Duration of internship and timings
I interned for 4 weeks in Oct 2012- Nov 2012. The timings were 10 a.m to 6 p.m.
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
I went a day before to the office to check up all the details and to ensure that my internship has been sanctioned and submitting all the documents.
1st day I was introduced to all the people working in the NGO. Since my project was Safer India only 2 people of all were part of it. Everyone is very understanding and caring. I was told about the different work the project does.
Being a 1st year I didn’t knew much of law so not much of legal work was given to me.
First few days I was asked to check the online database of the project and do the analysis of various complaints so filed.
Then I was asked to tabulate all the complaints. In the second half of the internship I called up people and asked how our NGO helped them.
Work environment and people
The work environment is friendly. Sometimes you need to ask for work.
Best thing was that the Project members were very helpful. You have any doubt they will always be there to help you.
Bad thing was that since I was the only intern I couldn’t do any field work.
I got to the practical aspect of law. Law is more than learning laws.
