First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The first impression was far more better than expected. It is small law firm with sufficient infrastructure. I was interviewed by partner Ms.Promila Dhar who is very genuine and particular about requirement of the firm.
I, then met another partner, Mr.Chandra Shekhar, who is now a mentor to me. No words could define his simplicity. He was kindhearted and very down to earth person.
His ways of teaching may look harsh sometimes but are very helping in long run. I admire him like anything.
No task was main there. I drafted notices, reply notices, rejoinders, plaints, provided legal consultation to clients, visited High Court, conducted research work in versatile branches of law.
Work environment and people
Work environment is too friendly. Though senior partners are not easily approachable but they maintain sufficient distance without hampering work.
Partners at this firm believe in perennial growth of both firms and interns. The work is mainly desk based but it is very useful especially drafting.
Best thing was Mr.Chandra Shekhar. I never met anyone like him in this field.
He always briefed me with anything and everything I had encountered during this internship.
Nothing bad in comparison to priceless experience that I got.
The trees with most bearing and fruits are the one’s which are most bent low. Mr.Chandra is one such person. His immense knowledge and experience in the field inspires and motivated me like anything.
Now I believe world is won by those who believe benchmarks are broken by determination and not by words.
