Duration of internship and timings

August 9, 2016 – September 1, 2016

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

When I reached the head office at 10 a.m. on the first day I met his assistant Kamal Sir who gave me a very warm welcome and made me feel comfortable and home like.

After this I met to Megha Ma’am who gave me all the details about the office and previous interns. She also briefed me about the firm.

Later, I was given Trademarks Act 1999. I was asked to read the section and note important points from the section.

Later I went to Megha Ma’am ‘s cabin where I sat with her and asked her millions of question about his office. I also asked my queries relating to trademarks the subject which was handed over to me, all of which he answered very patiently.

Bansal Sir was at the court and joined us later. Bansal Sir interacted me with other advocate who discuss with us the important points and sections relating to trademarks, copyright, patent etc.

Main tasks

I learned to make drafting (procedure of applications, notice of opposition, counter statement and etc.). I also visited high court with Sir and watched the court proceedings. It was first and nice experience.

Work environment and people

Bansal and associates office, the head office is located at a very posh location in Jaipur and the best thing is that Mr. Bansal is always available here to solve your queries.

Sir would always take out time from his extremely busy schedule and be there to help you out and listen to your doubts. In case of any difficulty you could directly approach him or any of the associates, who are always happy to help.

Mr. Bansal was a very nice and amazing person. He treats with care and concern. This was my first internship and it was really amazing experience.

Best things

The best things about G.D. Bansal and associates internship were the flexible timings and the way of working. Because students would be given freedom to work as per there convenience.

The main policy of firm allows the interns to focus on learning rather than pressurizing them to work day and night.

The fundamental idea behind the work given to the interns was that they should learn not only what the law is but also focus on its practical application. This firm would definitely give you a reality check.

Bad things

No bad experience there.

The firm does not pay for providing  a learning experience to the interns but the reasonable expenses can be taken care of.

Biggest Lessons

One of the thing I learnt from Mr. Bansal is the art of communication. The way he treats his clients and communicates with them is spell bounding.

He is very friendly and approachable not only for his clients but also for his associates and interns.

One thing that would be appreciated is the thirst for knowledge and learning plus hard work and diligence.

Any Other Thing

My co interns from Subodh law college, Bharti Vidhyapeeth university, Pune, University Five Year Law College all were very friendly and nice. We work together and discuss the legal points.

At the office the work environment is never tense. It is very comfortable and you will have all the facilities at your disposal. Amazing  thing is that we have a lunch break too. We gossip together and chat.

The office is at M-118 Mahesh colony, J.P.Phatak Under Pass, Jaipur.

Office Timings T

he office timings on week days were from 10 a.m. till 11 p.m. but the interns could leave early by 5 p.m. or as per their convenience.

Mr. Bansal , the owner of the firm stayed back longer and take care of all the work along with his associates. The office is open till 11 p.m. in the night so interns can stay for as long as they want. There is no compulsion on them.
