Application process with contact Details
I Mailed my CV to one of the associates of the firm 1 month before and they confirmed my internship. my reference was a family friend.
15 days , 10.30 to 5.30
First impression, First day formalities, Infrastructure
The first day formalities were like in any other reputed law firms.
I was introduced to the senior associates and was assigned a case.
My co interns were really friendly.
The main tasks were reading briefs, summarizing it, preparing list of dates, legal researches on variety of acts and legal opinion on variety of cases.
Work environment, People
Associates were friendly and helpful.
If any intern really showed interest in the work then there is plenty of it.
Many high profile cases are handled by this firm.
Firstly, the best thing about this firm is its Library.
It has a library with vast and great collection of law books.
Secondly, the associates were very understanding.
During the end of my internship I fell sick and was admitted to the hospital, so I couldn’t come to collect my certificate.
I informed them about my ill health and they were really kind enough to courier it to me along with the cheque.
Thirdly, they gave plenty of time to finish the work and they explained very clearly.
The associates remained busy most of the time, so did not get to learn anything about legal drafting.
Any Other Thing
Also came to realize that if you have the potential then your college or university name really doesn’t matter.
I am really lucky that i got this opportunity of interning at Fox & Mandal Associates which is one the oldest, finest and reputed law firms of all times in India.
