Name of Organisation, Location city, Team Strength
DSK Legal, Mumbai
Application Process with contact details
DSK Legal is known for not really accepting applications directly. I had applied through a contact. All my other co-interns had come through a contact as well. Though you could apply directly and try your luck.
Duration of internship and timings
1st November, 2015 – 14th December, 2015. (6 weeks)
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The office is spread out on a single floor. They don’t have the entire floor though. The office is fairly new so its nice. The interns sit in a separate area which is not part of the main office (this area has been given out to another organisation).
As usual there was a problem with the number of laptops available and we only got them after a day which we had to share.
The HR would introduce you to all the Associates in your team on the first day. Pretty formal and strict.
I did not find the associates very welcoming.
I was in the corporate team. The main task was mostly research and also a filing, printing and proof reading work.
Work environment and people
The work environment is not very friendly. The associates would barely talk to the interns or interact with them. I did not like the work environment much.
It is a reputed firm.
To do as you are commanded by the Associates without asking any questions and to complete it immediately even if a timeline is not given.
10 – 6.
But I would usually leave at around 8-9.
