Duration of Internship
4 weeks (January 2018)
The office is quite intern friendly and the associates are willing to help interns out. Vaibhavi Ma’am to whom I reported, was very friendly while explaining the tasks I would be expected to perform.
The firm mainly dealt with white collar crimes under the Prevention of Corruption Act, disproportionate assets and other similar Economic offences.
My main task was to read case files and research on the upcoming matters in the High Court. I was asked to research on various topics such as condonation of delay under the Limitation Act as well as the Transfer of Property Act, prepare case notes and case summaries.
The work which was expected from the interns was explained nicely by ma’m.
Apart from this, we also attended the proceedings in the Delhi High Court as well as observed proceedings of the Sushant Rohilla case (Amity case).
I improved a lot on my research skills as that was one of the most predominant tasks I was given. Friendly atmosphere where all the tasks would be explained by the associates. It’s a great place to learn the basics along with substantial drafting and research work.
Also there’s market nearby where one can grab anything to eat.
Nothing as such. One will have to ask for work else you’ll be sitting idle till afternoon.
