Internship Experience @ NLU Delhi’s Centre for Communication Governance, Delhi: Research Work, Rated 7/10

Name of Organisation, City:

Centre for Communication Governance, Delhi.

Duration of the internship, Timings :

4 weeks, There was no fixed timings.

However you were required to report between 10:30 and 11:00 AM and you could leave by 6:00 PM or so. Sometimes you can also do work from your PG if they have already given you work.

Application procedure. Internship contact details:

One has to apply through e-mail. You have send the mail to Mr. Sarvjeet Singh  ([email protected]). Centre for Communication Governance, Delhi will ask you to give name and contact details of two two referees.

They will contact the referees for a written or oral reference.

Accommodation: how, where, how was it?

My friends had already rented a PG in Green Park Extension so I stayed there. However, if one wants he/she can look up for rooms near Dwarka Mor Metro Station as it will be hard to find a room in Dwarka Sector 14 itself.

How big was the office? Team strength?

The office is located in the Academic Block of NLU Delhi. They have two rooms.

First impression. First day, formalities etc. :

On the first day, you will be introduced to the other members of the Centre and they will ask you about your interest and accordingly they will give you project to research on.

Main tasks :

Your main task will involve research on on going projects of the centre (during my time it included research on Defamation, contempt of court and many other topics) and your research topic will change once you complete the task given to you.

Work environment, people:

The work environment is very good and you are given time to complete your research.

They are very flexible and if you want you can do your work from your home if they have given you research work for 2-3 days.

Best Things:

You can do research on the topics that you are particularly interested in and then write a blog on it (which usually most interns do in their third week).

You can use the NLU Delhi library if you need it for your research work and there is no restriction on you.

Bad Things:

The only bad thing is that NLU Delhi is located in Dwarka Sector 14 and there is not much to explore nearby.

There is a mall near Metro station but it only has Mc Donald’s in it.

No Stipend.
