Application Process

First of all I have taken permission from Mr. Brahmananda Reddy, a famous criminal lawyer in Guntur.

After that, I have taken internship request letter from our university as per our university rules. Then, by giving that university permission letter to do an internship with him i have joined in internship in his chambers.

Duration of internship and timings

Duration of the internship was from May 1st, 2013 to May 31, 2013. Timings were from 9:30 AM to 4 PM. Lunch break was from 1 PM to 2:30 PM. At that time, there were holidays for civil courts and only criminal courts were working.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

First day was cool. No strict formalities were there. Infrastructure was good. There were totally 4 lawyers in the chamber. I was given a separate cabin and computer.

Main tasks

Main tasks were to study case laws, drafting plaints, affidavits and going to court to see proceedings.

Work environment and people

Work environment was quiet friendly. They all helped me in learning how to play drafts affidavits and etc.

Best things

Best thing was the work in office was informal and friendly but when we go to visit court proceedings we should be in formals.

Everyone in the chamber were very helpful and friendly.

And the most best part is it is near to our home.

Bad things

I haven’t find any bad things.

No stipend.

Biggest Lessons

Biggest lessons i have learnt from this internship are how to behave with clients and making affidavits and plaints and i have learnt how to interact with clients and how to deal cases.
