Gurgaon Office of AZB & Partners nests the IPR Team of this firm though on some days it pays host to some associates from Noida Office. This is a small, quiet place to work at with a variety of options for lunch in the Cyber Park.
If you are looking to work in IPR, it is the ideal place for you.
There are 2 associates here with a Partner leading the team. Other than that it has place for 3 other partners who show up less to work in this office.
Quality of Work:
Most likely you will end up being the only intern here, like it was with me and you will get a wide variety of work. I specifically opted for IPR so I had a great time learning about procedure and proceedings.
Both the associates are patient on your learning curve and generally helpful. Because you won’t have much company, it can become little dull at times but you will have enough work to not think about it.
Difference between Noida Office and Gurgaon Office:
Because the named Partner, Mr. Ajay Behl sits at the Noida Office, people there are more strict about rules and dos and don’ts. You have to strictly follow the dress code at both the places but at Gurgaon office you get casual last-day-of-the-week.
Since there are more interns at the Noida office, you will most likely end up competing toe-to-toe with fellow interns to make your own space in the office and get noticed but Gurgaon Office can be a boon for people meaning to get hired in this firm.
People who don’t like sitting idle but are shy in asking for work need not worry about it in the Gurgaon Office as here they would call you themselves and give you enough work to keep you going.
You have to reach office strictly by 10 every morning. Although the official timings are 10 am – 6 pm, you will most likely get free by 8-8.30 at most.
Alternate Saturdays are off.
You have to complete 21 working days to get the internship certificate.
In the event you are unable to complete the required number of days (due to public holidays etc.), you will have to get your internship extended so keep some gap after this internship and the next one you apply for.
Usually AZB hires either through on-campus drives or considers off-campus hiring if you have interned with them before.
So even if you don’t get placed here immediately there is still hope for future. If you are in your final year and work sincerely for any team you end up becoming a part of and show initiative, most likely you will get some offer for extension of Internship and later a job.
