First impression. First day, formalities etc:

On the first day, there were absolutely no formalities except a casual introduction. We were asked about the past internships and areas of interest.

On the first day, we were given some matter which we had to brief in the evening.

Main tasks:

The main task during my internship at the Law Desk was to read the files related to civil, criminal, consumer, intellectual property, corporate law, arbitration, research upon the related matters and do the drafting of the matters listed in the near future.

We were given several during the internship that was making brief, summaries of the consumer matters, research and drafting work such as PIL, Reply, Rejoinder, Written arguments, First appeal, etc. We were also given the task to file notices, replying to them.

The best part was to research and draft a representation that was to be presented before the Gst council for some matter. For which we stayed up late at night in the office and enjoyed a lot, that was such a great experience.

Work environment, people:

The work environment at the Law Desk is fabulous as Mr. Prateek Kasliwal gives particular importance to the interns and provide them with interesting tasks. The juniors under him are really hard working and humorous who will never make you feel bored and fatigue.

Best things:

The best thing about the Law Desk is the exposure of practicalities and encouragement that you are given to work hard.
Sir believes in giving practical experience and variety of work rather than giving the same type of tasks again and again.

He would also take the feedback about the firm and its working and never deny you to take the matter of your interest. He would treat you like a friend after the office hours and narrate his experiences in the legal field.

Bad things:

Sometimes you may find that the drafting work is too lengthy which eats a lot of time and you may sit idle on some days when sir is not in the office.

What did you do to chill:

The location of the firm is awesome as it is full of greenery and just a few meters away from Raja Park one the best markets of Jaipur where you would find a variety of eateries and several places to explore every day.

We used to chill out at ashta, it is a canteen nearby we used to go every day to have a glass of juice over there.

Stipend/ month:

Stipend is paid to the encourage interns who work hard and spend more time in the office.

I was paid Rs. 3000/-.

In addition to this, we got a Bare act of The Constitution of India and a Law Desk Tshirt.

It is not the toughest of tasks to get an internship in this office.
