First Day Formalities Initial Impressions
On the very first day, I was asked to fill an internship form which contained details related to the name of college, contact number, internship duration etc.
People there are very humble and supportive. Then I was asked by HR ma’am to join other interns followed by a brief introduction. And just after a while, I was given research work related to the upcoming case. All other interns were also working with different associates. The work environment was very professional and motivating.
Primarily, the task assigned to me was research work by different associates on entirely different matters. Besides, I was given some drafting work and also did some paperwork and documentation.
There is a lot to learn in the firm provided you show eagerness and perform well. I did not get any opportunity to sit idle during the internship and that is one of the best aspects to work there. Even associates themselves are very supportive and they always tend to enhance your knowledge and experience.
- Location wise it is very convenient to work there
- People there be it Associates or Administrative staffs are very helpful and motivating.
- The firm is disciplined and reasonably strict when it comes to timings and work and that is the best part.
- There is a great management system within the firm.
- The firm will provide you with ample opportunities to showcase your knowledge and talent.
One can easily find affordable PGs nearby or else it is hardly 5 mins walking distance from the Kailash Colony Metro Station.
All in all, this experience was truly enriching and informative, and it was indeed an eye-opener. I have realised that each and every person is assigned their duties, and they all play a very important role in contributing to the system, I have been able to meet and interact with so many lawyers and people that I am sure will be able to help me with future opportunities.
One most important thing I learnt during the internship was management skills as well as motivation. When I started the internship was not even sure whether I’ll able to cope with the tedious working hours but due to very supporting and the enthusiastic team there, I felt extremely motivated to do any task assigned and realized the importance of time management as well.
The best takeaway from the experience was getting the feedback on the end of the week where I was asked to submit a weekly report and then got to know the area I am good at and the scope of improvement required. This was the experience
which taught me a lot about both professional and personal aspects of being in the field of law.
