First-day Formalities, Infrastructure and First Impression

Later we were officially introduced by sir to our associates and co-interns. Sir briefed us about the work and office premises. The same day we were allocated a simple task. I also visited the Labour Court situated at Pushpa Bhavan, Saket with Sir (Advocate Ravneet Singh), who explained me all the relevant facts of the case and also gave me a tour of the Labour Court along with teaching me the hierarchy and other details about Labour Court and Labour Laws.

There were no such formalities to be done.

We were asked to download certain apps which would help us for research and other purposes during our internship period. My initial impression of RSG Legal was impeccable and stayed the same till my last working day.

Main Tasks

  • To attend, observe and sometimes participate in court hearings.
  • To research on topics and cases similar to those our firm is working upon to help build up our case stronger.
  • To assist and drafting of applications, legal notices, recovery notices, replies to notices, agreements.
  • To attend and observe several meetings with Clients.
  • To research on new topics so that we could share the knowledge with everyone in the office and be aware of the new laws and amendments.

Good Things

My whole experience was terrific and some of the main things which made it that way were:

  • They asked us about our interest and allocated us work we actually are interested in doing and learning.
  • They explained us the tasks to be done and cleared all our doubts and were always keen to teach us and made sure that we understand the work we’re doing.
  • There was no pressure of work, rather they focused on us being efficient with our performance.
  • They conducted sessions for us on weekends to learn about new and different topics which we selected ourselves according to our interests.
  • We experienced working on cases on various genres like Matrimonial, Insolvency, Labor, Criminal, Corporate and Consumer Laws which gave us an overview of different aspects of law which will helped us to explore our interests.
  • We were encouraged to publish articles, research papers and we discussed it’s subject-matter with them. They helped us with all our doubts and gave suggestions too.
  • We got chances to interact with clients and participate in court hearings and sometimes take pass overs. I even appeared in front of the RERA Committee which built up my confidence.
  • We experienced attending hearings in many courts like the High Court of Delhi, National Company Law Tribunal, National Company Law Appellate Tribunal, Real Estate Regulatory Authority, Saket District Court, Dwarka District Court, Karkardooma District Court, Labor Court (Pushpa Enclave) so it was never constricted to just one court
  • They shared their professional experiences with us which helped us to know more about the practical legal field we’re getting in. They also guided us for our further goals and opportunities.
  • The office is beautiful and the location is really good as GK -M block Market is 2 mins away from it.
