I interned at Pride Circle. It was a virtual internship.

How did you apply for the internship?

The internship opportunity was posted on Lawctopus.

First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression

Since the internship was online. We had an online interactive session where they asked us to relate to any fictional character.

Main Tasks

The organization works for LGBT community’s inclusion.

I was assigned to the ‘LGBT and Commerce’ team.

My teammates and I had to work on a project which acts as a guide for queer entrepreneurs while setting up a business in India.

Work Environment

The working hours were flexible and incentives were given.

Good Things

We were given access to resources to complete our research. The work environment was really co-operative.

Bad Things

It was a really enriching and insightful experience.

Stipend

No stipend was given.

Details about accommodation and commute

Since it was an online internship, it was work from home.

Anything else?

I learnt to use pronouns accurately and more terms related to the LGBT community. Also the importance of LGBT community’s inclusion into the economy.
