First-day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression
First Day: On my first day of the internship I had an amazing interactive session with Mr. Vinay Kothari, wherein he asked about my academics and as to where my interests lie i.e. whether in litigation or corporate sector. He also enlightened about the benefits of the profession and as to how a lawyer can be an asset to society.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure of the office is amazing, it contains Vinay Sir office, a waiting area, main office space where all associates work and a conference room. The office is very well furnished and fully air-conditioned.
First Impression: My first and in fact the last impression of the office is same. The work environment of the office is amazing and the work undertaken by them is very neat. Also, one my first day I met Pradeep Sir, Mr. Kothari’s associate, and during my whole internship, I spent most of my time with him only. He helped me clear all my doubts and queries.
My main tasks at the office were the following:
Preparing briefs of different cases.
Drafting of certain applications which were to be presented before Hon’ble Rajasthan High Court. Sometimes, I was also assigned with work related to the drafting of appeals and reply to writ petitions.
The whole office staff is very helpful.
Vinay sir is interactive and gives full attention to his interns.
They let interns attend conferences with clients and it really helps you to understand the practical aspect of litigation.
The whole day used to be very hectic, as I had to go to court first and then office. My usual working hours during the internship period were from 10:30 am to 4:30 am (Court) and 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm (Office).
Accommodation and Commuting to the Office?
Accommodation: I stayed along with my relatives so I did not face any accommodation issue. But, as the office is located in the main city area hence PGs are easily available there.
Commutation: I used to commute through my personal vehicle. But, cabs and city buses are easily available there.
Anything else, what you did to chill out, lessons learnt etc. ?
There are lot of famous monumental places in jodhpur which includes the Mehrangarh Fort and Ummed Bhawan. Apart from these, the main city has a historical touch, just like most of the royal cities of Rajasthan.
Also, there are a lot of cafes in office locality itself, so post office you can easily visit these cafes to relax.

I am an army girl! In a barbie world! Keeper of 5 dogs. On a diet for now. Sometimes I might make punctuation mistakes, but I make up for it by bringing in a crore or two extra. What's more important, a misplaced comma, or a well-placed crore?
