How did you apply for the internship?
By my college teachers and principal. They informed me and I applied for it.
First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression
On the first day of my internship, all the interned were briefed about the rules and regulations and formalities to be fulfilled and work to be done for next few days.
We signed a document related to our personal information as well as a POSH (Prevention of Sexual Harassment) form.
Later each of us was allocated to a team. Despite the fact that there were so many interns.
In my second year of the 3-year in law school, I interned at Khaitan and Co., Noida.
I was assigned to the banking and finance team. Most of the work I did was related to SEBI Regulations, the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code, 2016 and the Companies Act, 2013.
This internship provided me with a great deal of knowledge. I didn’t know anything about banking legislations or the companies act since I had just completed my second year.
As a result of dealing with work, the study of these laws was completed in my second year itself. Since I was completely new to this.
I had some issues doing the tasks, but my co-members in my team were really supportive and never made any of us feel inferior.
They were a buddy rather than a senior and we never hesitated to seek their assistance at any time of the day.
It was really a great experience for me.
For the first time in my law school, I had seen such a great office and the associates working they were very helpful.
I was a bit worried about the internship since it was an advanced internship for me.
However, the work atmosphere and the people around me always got the best out of me.
Everyone was always willing to assist and advise me, when I had questions.
The colleagues were friendlier than you could expect from a place where you may be terrified to go.
They will gradually assist us and make our job simpler.
They were very helpful and friendly. They assisted interns from every aspect.
As I was new there, it was completely unfamiliar for me.
Details about accommodation and commute
As I was a resident of Noida accommodation wasn’t a problem for me.
However, one can easily find a PG near the office.
We used to hang around there a lot making fun of each other, listening to music over the speaker, ordering food at lunchtime and learning a lot.
Furthermore, because I was interested in the corporate world, I learned a lot about it, got to witness how courts work, and was a part of a lot of the company incorporation activity.
