First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression

During my first day, I was introduced to everyone by Mrs.Fathima, given a separate cubicle and a laptop to work on. The firm has a fantastic spacious infrastructure with motivational quotes hung on the wall which creates a positive vibe and motivates everyone in the firm to work with enthusiasm.

About the Organization

IC Universal Legal provides a broad range of legal services whilst focusing on its core areas of practicing, namely, Real Estate, Arbitration, Corporate Advisory, Private Equity and Mergers and Amalgamations. They have advised clients through the life span of transactions, leading on some of the highest valued transactions in the healthcare, and information technology sectors. They have also advised on company formations, structuring and early-stage business requirements of start-ups, drafting of employment packages, and regulatory compliances. The firm acts for both Indian and international clients.

Main Tasks

The main tasks given by the associates of the firm comprised of research work on corporate laws, Due Diligence work, and compliance work. Along with these, the associates also give challenging tasks to the interns by providing work pertaining to filing forms, reviewing documents and agreements, etc.

Good Things

The associates and the HR of the firm are very friendly, motivating, caring to the interns. They make the interns feel comfortable in the office. This in turn had urged me to extend my internship period for an extra 2 weeks.

Bad Things

Since the workplace environment had a positive vibe so I couldn’t find anything wrong
