Office Timings: 10:00 am to 5: 00 p.m.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure:

The office is situated at a very ideal place just above the State Bank of India Vivekananda Nagar Kukatpally Branch, so there will not be an issue on the very first day to locate the office.

I met Vijay Sir on the very first day, he is very humble and the best thing about him is that he believes in interaction so, on the first day, he interacted with me related to patent basics and then accordingly he assigned me my work.

I met the other associates and staff in the office, all of them were very friendly they guided me throughout the period of Internship. After that, we all were allocated our respective work.

Main tasks:

Here we deal extensively with diverse areas of Intellectual Property Right such as Trade Mark, Patent, GI, and Copyright even there were works pertaining to IP valuation and IP Audits.

The work which we were assigned were both related to office as well as visiting district courts and other courts and attending the hearings, getting to know about the cases and their judgements and also, we got to learn drafting and filing of the cases and their motions.

Some of the insights of the work that I was given were, for instance, Drafting Trade Mark notice of opposition, Drafting Rule 46 evidence affidavit, making the Hearing sheets for the upcoming dates and researching on various aspects like related to the recent copyright amendments etc. I got to visit the district court, where we were accompanied by associates, and sir as well.

Sir even took me for Client meetings it was a very new and fresh exposure and indeed a very good one it gave me an idea about this side of working.

Work environment and people:

Outstanding work environment, Sir and all the associates are very nice. The associates are very helpful and approachable. Sir himself used to teach us facts regarding cases and made us learn a lot.

Sir, used to make sure that he takes us to the court whenever he was about to argue in the court, Even while we are on the way to courts beforehand only he used to give us a briefing about the case so that the matters do not seem to be alien to us.

I opted for PGs, they are very easily accessible thus there will not be any problem in hunting PGs in Hyderabad specifically areas like Madhpur and Hitech city as they are hubs of PGs.

Good things:

One gets to enhance their learning skills along with exploring litigation. Vijay sir is a very kind, genuine and humble man. He closely studied our work and genuinely asked about our experience.

It was indeed an enjoyable journey. We frankly worked together as a team. Sir also gave lunch treats to us.

It was my first IPR related litigation Internship and trust me, there’s nothing bad about this. This was overall a really good experience. It gave me a lot of exposure and insights into that specific law. It taught me the basics of it and guided me for my future path.

Bad things:

There were none

Biggest Lessons:

Hard work is the only key to success but it should also go along with smart work.
