Application Process

I applied through their online internship portal. Accordingly, I received a call from the Office, regarding the internship. They normally take one to two interns at a time.

First Day Formalities Initial Impressions

The Office is a small, but well maintained one. It is situated on the third floor of the Huligadri Renaissance Building. On the first day, an Associate (Srikanth) had introduced me to the entire team and the founding Partner (Amrut Joshi).

I was also explained what was required of me during the internship. On initial impressions, it looked like a good internship to work through.

Main Tasks

Interns had a mandatory task to contribute to the firm’s online content, on a weekly basis. This would be a bit different than other internships, but once I got used to it, it was just like any simple task.

During my internship, I mostly dealt with drafting agreements, such as Terms of Use policies, Privacy Policies, R&D agreements, MOUs, Non-Disclosure Agreements, etc.

Apart from this, I dealt with research upon the Companies Act 2013 and company law concepts. My internship also extended to research within IPR law. Basically, my internship was a mixed bag where I dealt with various aspects of the law.

Good Things

The best thing about the firm is the people. The entire team was absolutely friendly and nice. Neither was there any hierarchy within the Office nor was there any isolation of the interns from the associates.

During lunchtime, we sat together, shared food, and joked around. I was even at the receiving end of multiple treats from everyone. Safe to say, the environment was pleasant and comforting.

Fun and games apart, I think this firm would be a great experience for any law student; especially for students interested in Corporate law.

Bad Things

Simply, there wasn’t anything bad about the internship or the firm. It was a great internship experience.

Upto the discretion of the firm

Accommodation Commute

I stayed in a PG at Mathikere, which wasn’t really far from the Office at Malleshwaram. Normally, I would travel by bus or auto. Accommodation or travel should not be a problem, as there are moany PGs available in and around Malleshwaram.

Other Info

I chilled during the weekend at the football turfs. So basically, if you love playing football, you’d love to visit the indoor turfs; which are open to anybody and everybody at a particular charge/rate.
