First-day impression, formalities

The work environment at the firm was very generous and comfortable. There were proper infrastructural amenities for the interns as well as the cabins for the associates were well set up and maintained.

On the very first day, there was a briefing session and we were well explained about how the work has to be done.

The way the first day came to an end, we were glad that we could crack this opportunity of being an intern at such a systematic and hardworking office.

Main tasks
  • Reading case files, assisting in drafting various appeals, suits, case pleadings and notices.
  • Filing replies to examination report and making case notes, following arguments in the court and general exposure to working in the field.
  • Extensive research on various facets of law and its procedures specifically in the Trademark Act, Copyright Act, Designs Act, Consumer Protection Act and IPC.
  • The good things were the friendly and encouraging work environment, the chances that were given and the discipline.
Bad thing

There wasn’t any bad thing as such, just the timings were followed on a strict basis and it turned out to be very beneficial as this created a sense of discipline and helped me to meet my deadlines.

Overall experience:

The best part was that instead of giving opportunities to draft or public search, there were also briefing and teaching sessions for the interns from time to time.

I really recommend other students to work at this wonderful firm.
