First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression
There were no great formalities.
The infrastructure of the office was like a normal government office.

The main tasks included:
Attending Lok adalats, mediation sessions, court proceedings, client counselling, legal aid camps, awareness camps, preparation of reports, etc.
Work Environment
The work environment was good, as I had a couple of other good co-interns and a supportive mentor.
Good Things
The good things were, I was given a rare opportunity to visit the central prison at Puzhal, Sub-jail at Saidapet.
I was also given the opportunity to attend Lok adalat sessions, which were very knowledgeable.
Bad Things
No work was given on some days and we had to sit idle.

Details about accommodation and commute
I am from Chennai, so the need for accommodation did not arise.
For people from other cities, there are plenty of hostels and PG’s available at Chennai.
The office is well connected, through bus, electric trains and metro services.
Anything else?
The greatest opportunity was visiting the central prison at Puzhal, Chennai.
I don’t think any other internship would provide an opportunity to visit the prison.
