First-day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression

No formalities as such, I was introduced to SP Singh sir on my first day and he briefed me about the work they do and the tasks I’ll be required to handle

Main Tasks

For most of my work, I drafted various documents under Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code such as preparation of a list of dates, synopsis, index and I also assisted sir in drafting demand notices.

I also drafted replies and filed rejoinders for the parties. Basically the complete responsibility of drafting and maintaining the file was given to me to prepare from while sir did a last-minute check. I also visited National Company Law Tribunal and High Court of Delhi to observe sir’s proceedings. I prepared notes with what happened in the courts.

I was also given research work to do under the Insolvency and Bankruptcy Act and Company Law 2013.

Good Thing

Sir trusts you with a lot of work, that really builds up your drafting skills and boosts up your confidence.

Bad Things

Nothing Bad

Stipend

No stipend but unlimited coffee/tea/iced tea in the office.

Accommodation

I live in NCR so no accommodation was not an issue. I used to commute by metro.
