How did you Apply?

I was referred to sir by another counsel.

First Day Formalities, Infrastructure, First Impression

  • I reached Nainital in Evening so on the first day it was an informal meeting with sir where he took my informal Interview and told me to report tomorrow in the office by 9.30.
  • On the next day I reached at chamber around 9.25 where I met with the associates who guided me through the chamber and assigned me a computer desk, after a while we had a brief meeting with sir about listing matters and I introduced myself before the associates and co-workers
  • Infrastructure of the office was elegant divided into Three block for associates with Joint Library.
  • For me, First Impression was absolutely life changing the first thought came into my mind after seeing such professionals “that’s what I was looking for”.

Main Tasks

My main task was to follow up Uttarakhand High court website and video conferencing as it was post COVID-19 period so all the Hon’ble judges hearing the matters through Video conferencing and I provide outcomes about the listing matter to the associates, also I did Research and Translation work where I developed My self as a Human Resource.

Work Environment

The Atmosphere at the office was very professional, all the associates and counsels were very helpful regarding my work, occasionally I also get opportunity to comprehend physical hearing with sir and assisted him over various cases where I learned the ethics and conduct.

After office timings we all sit together for evening tea and snacks where Mr. Sanjay (sir’s Asst.) Narrate us various Horror and funny stories.

Good Things

As Uttarakhand High Court is located in Nainital which needs no introduction. It is a tourist destination one can explore various nearby places whenever get time from office.

In my lunch time I tried various authentic Kumauni dishes and after completion of assigned work and office timing I use to walk through Thandi sadak located opposite of mall road which gives me immense relaxation.

If you are Momo Lover like me it’s a Heaven for you, you will get chance to taste different variety of momos in the radius of only 3kms.

Bad Things

As such there were No bad things but if you are not a native person you may face issues like weather conditions, it may change anytime.

Incline Roads where you can lose some inches from your belly.


No Stipend, also depends upon your performance.

Accommodation, Commuting to office

I resided in a PG near High court, my room was wonderful, with every morning whenever I open my gate, I use to get fresh air and scenery of igniting mountains with sun light.

Office was located at walking distance from my PG.

Anything else, chill out, lessons learnt

Occasionally we use to have lunch together at office, Mr. Kaushal and Mr. Ajay associates at office guided me through various chilling spots after office timings whenever we get opportunity, we use to go to have lemon tea near Sherwood school.

On Sundays I use to go for ride to Muktesh war, ram Nagar, Bheemtal and various hidden gems situated in Nainital or near Nainital.

Lessons I learned is; Three qualities are must to become a successful person in life i.e., Perseverance, Dedication, Hard work and Self- Discipline.

On my last day I received a farewell party from the office which was memorable and emotional for me.
