Application Process

I sent my CV along with a proper cover letter. Seeking Internship for the month of February 2019.

I joined the office on the 4th of February 2019.

Number of Interns

I being the only one, got an opportunity to experience and spectate the legal fraternity of Jaipur. With complete guidance from both Ashish and Vagish Sir.

First Day, First Impression

I was told to report at 10 AM at High Court, Jaipur Bench.

The two founders of Capstone Ashish Sir and Vagish Sir are alumni’s of NLSIU, Bangalore. They were accompanied by their fellow associates.

I was given a case file regarding Arbitration to research upon and prepare a brief for the same.

Both the partners are dedicated, diligent and impeccable in their work, and guide the interns becoming the same addressing all their doubts.

The work environment is warm and cooperative.

Though punctuality is expected by the interns.

Main Task

The firm is majorly a litigation firm. With the main task of interns is researching the case files and preparing a brief of the same or any other as prescribed. I had an opportunity to draft notices and applications at times.

Good Things

You either watch the American series ‘Suits’ or make the place in Capstone is either the same.

The duration of internship can be compiled as a boutique of experience ranging from spectating proceeding of the High Court, Consumer Tribunal, State Electricity Regulatory, National Company Law Tribunal or meetings with the clients to long spans of researching.

Bad Things

The chaotic traffic in Jaipur.

Also most of the days, the advocates in Jaipur were on strike.

Place of Accommodation

Since I had my relatives staying in Jaipur accommodation wasn’t an issue. Though there are a couple of PG’s available in the vicinity.

The weekend was generally spent participating in debate competitions in Delhi and Ahmadabad and on a course of a regular day after working hours I used to generally grab myself a coffee from CCD that’s at walking distance from the office.

One of the Sunday I visited the historic monuments in town, Amber fort is recommended.
