How did you apply?

I applied through College Placement Division however the firm accepts applications through [email protected]

First day formalities, infrastructure, first impression

The firm temporarily operates out of a co-working space. I was asked to report at 9:30 am, where one of the associates gave a brief introduction to the firm, the timings of the internship and the workflow system. The office offers a comfortable environment. I was asked to bring my own laptop but a proper work station was given.

Main tasks

The firm basically offers a wide range of services to start-ups and investors and specializes in private equity and venture capital. Currently, the team comprises of 4 people, 1 partner plus 2 associates and a company secretary.

Due to their multiple clients, main tasks included assisting in due diligence, drafting commercial agreements, SHAs and SSAs and also research work for client queries. Since this firm advises several investor networks as well, there is a lot of research done on the legal nature of emerging market spaces.

Good things

The firm’s small workforce and multiple clients create a wonderful opportunity for learning about private equity investment and the whole due diligence and compliance process. The work environment is great and interns are given a lot of scope for taking initiative.

Bad things

No bad things

The stipend is given as per the firm’s policy.

Accommodation, commuting to the office

I stay in Delhi itself however there are two metro stations nearby and several transportation options due to the popularity of the locality where the office is situated.

Anything else, what you did to chill out, lessons learned etc

Due to the timing of the intership, several investments had their target of completion before the year end which gave me an opportunity to work on several different types of investments. Also, the location of the office is very good as there are multiple food and club options around.
