Name, College, Year of Study
Kalyani Deshmukh, 4th Year, Government Law College Mumbai
Name of Organisation, Location, Team Strength
ARA Law, CAPITAL building, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai
Application Process
I applied for the internship through our college placement cell
Duration of Internship and Timings
Duration – 1 month
Timings – 9:30- 6:30
First Impression, First Day Formalities
I was formally briefed about the office policies and was assigned a mentor, and introduced to everyone in the office.
Main Tasks
The work is basically research related to commercial laws. We were asked to make notes and presentations on various topics E.g. RBI Act, FDI Policy, Insolvency and Bankruptcy Code etc
Work environment and People
Work environment is very encouraging. Though we got most of the work from our mentor, other associates too would assign some tasks if the need be. Seniors were all the time ready and happy to help.
Best Things
Extensive research on different topics related to corporate law. Great exposure to different aspects of the law. Making presentations in front of everyone would make us more responsible and answerable to what we said during the presentation.
Bad Things
The location of the office is a little difficult to reach by public transport (i.e. Local Train and Bus) because of relatively weak connectivity.
