First Impression, First Day Formalities and Infrastructure

The office is situated in the premises of Alipore Bar Association Building on the First Floor,
A Junior Partner of the firm introduced me to all the partners working for the firm in the lower court and also took me to the trial courts and told me to memories the court room numbers. I was given a desk where I was to work.

Main Tasks

The main tasks were to prepare briefs for cases dealing with domestic abuse and family disputes. Also I was given the responsibility to prepare the cause list of all the cases the firm is representing in the sessions court.

I was taught how to prepare a vakalatnama and was told to prepare the same occasionally.
At the end of the week all the interns had to submit a weekly report of cases and the work done by the interns for the week,.

Work Environment and People

Everyone there starting from the associates to the working staffs are really helpful and friendly. They were very knowledgeable and gave their occasional input on the legal profession

Good Thing

A intern gets to learn a lot by interning in a session court at the very start of their career,
the learning space is enormous, and the approaching  the partners   with your own inputs was very easy.
