How you applied
I had applied through a reference.
Since it was the first day of my first internship, I tried to reach Court early around 10:30 AM. Then I was provided with a cause list of the court and taught how to see the board of the court. After that, I was told to have the visit of the High Court premises. Initially, I was introduced to the other associates of the chamber who guided me and helped me in work.
It was my first experience as an intern and it was a successful attempt. It was the first-hand exposure of working in the real world, granting the opportunity to learn more about the self-potentials and abilities, getting connected and developing a professional network in the field of law. I got the opportunity to gain practical knowledge which exposed to a lot of subjects and acts of law in a very short period of time.
Practical knowledge of the law is one the best experience which allowed me to explore the field of law and learn more practical aspects in the legal area. It is one of the experience which will change one’s mind about practising the litigation, especially at the High Court.
The work of research of cases and giving legal opinions was one the best part. I was allotted with work of reading cases, finding out cases to support our matters. I was also allowed to interact with the clients which was the best part of my internship which made me feel I am already a part of the chamber.
Pawan sir has several years of valuable experience as a lawyer specialises in criminal law and family law matters. He also provides personal attention regarding your growth. He often sat with me and asked me about my daily experience. He also narrated me his experience of his profession and made sure that the work given to me is diverse and interesting enough.
You have direct access to the Pawan sir’s chamber. I would definitely recommend this internship to anyone who wants to have the hand-on experience in the criminal law at the Gujarat High Court.
The office staff and all the Associates of the chamber are well versed in the field of law. They all have very good command with an extraordinary experience in the legal language. Pawan sir has many years’ experience with good knowledge of the law which helps to develop in the right direction.
Interns and Junior Advocates have a separate area to do the work. Another advantage of interning here is being a part of the discussion with the other associates of the chamber on the ongoing cases and issues of courts.
The office is located in a very nice area from where you can easily get access to the local transport as well there is a good food point near the building.
The work environment of the office was amiable and Associates are always ready to help. I mainly dealt with criminal law and family law matters.
It was my hometown so I had no issue of accommodation but there are several PG and hostels available on the Sola road.
