Duration of internship and timings
June 1, 2016 – June 30, 2016
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
The office is situated in one of the best localities in Jaipur. The office was on the ground floor and it is situated in the main area of Jaipur so connectivity was not an issue. On the first day I was told to meet two clients rest no other formalities.
Main tasks
I was given case files to read and understand the cases. I did research on certain laws especially consumer related laws. I was also given the opportunity to attend the proceedings at the consumer forum.
Work environment and people
The work environment was relaxed and other fellow mates were friendly. As I was in the first year I was guided by all of them very well.
Best things
The best thing about the internship was the constant opportunities to learn about court proceedings and to understand consumer related laws.
Bad things
The infrastructure was the only negative point. Otherwise nothing was bad as such about my experience.
Stipend
No Stipend for interns
Biggest Lessons
As it was my first practical experience, I understood how things actually work. It was a real time lesson. And I would suggest all first year students to intern under such friendly environment where it is easy to approach the clients.
Any Other Thing
It is best to intern under such advocates from which you can learn many things. This internship gave me a lot of confidence. And I would suggest a place like this to intern in your beginning years.
Office Timings
The office timings were flexible and we used to intern there from 10.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m.
