First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

The first impression was great as we got to know about the work they dealt with ( Rescuing street children , providing them shelter, interactions, etc.)

The interview was conducted and we were introduced to the working of the place.

Main tasks

1. Carried out rescue Operations at Railway Stations, Bus stands, Trafficking places and Factories where the children were made to work .

2. Interaction Sessions with the children who were in their homes who were either rescued or lost.

Work environment and people

It was a great experience working with such wonderful people and children specially.

Best things

Well, The best thing was I got a chance to do something good by being a part of the rescue operations in which children who were made to work in bad conditions or the ones being illtreated were rescued.

Besides that, I got an opportunity to interact and teach things to the children living in Don Bosco homes.

There was a great sense of satisfaction.

Bad things

The internship was great in all aspect.

No Stipend

Biggest Lessons

Big lessons learnt.

This internship was all related to the street children

I saw how these little angels were living miserable lives on the streets , heard their heartbreaking stories.

Some had run away, some were abandoned and some kidnapped.

The first thing I realized was how blessed I am.

Secondly, that you have to come together and work towards a change, towards making the lives of these children better. Candle marches and Facebook Status doesn’t really help in this case.

Thirdly, There are amazingly nice people on this Earth who are putting in their heart and soul to rescue the children and give them a better life.
Wonderful experience.

Any Other Thing

The students in Bangalore must intern here.

Great internship.

There’s so much to learn, teach, see and explore.

World need more people to come forward and help the children on streets.

Overall Rating

Stayed at a friends flat.
