Application Process
I applied for this internship by sending a letter of application addressed to the President of the District Consumer Forum, Jodhpur.
Duration of internship and timings
June 2015
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the very first day I went to the office of the president, DCF with the college letter of recommendation for the internship and identity card and got the details verified there.
There the Sir briefed us with the proceedings of the forum and gave us the files and asked us to prepare the arguments from both the sides.
The infrastructure was decent and rather average and had poor conditioning facility.
Main tasks
The main tasks were the translation of the files and documents from Hindi to English, making notes of the proceedings and preparing arguments after reading case files.
Work environment and people
The work environment was good. The members there of the DCF were very friendly and supporting.
Best things
For me this internship helped me to learn the working of the judiciary from a closer perspective. The thinking of the judges along with how judiciary operates, I learnt this thing from here.
Bad things
Nothing happened to be called as a bad thing.

No Stipend
Biggest Lessons
The biggest lesson that I learnt from this internship is that everyone has its own problems. Some people compromise with them and the others take them as a challenge and try to face them with the full potential. And this only makes all the difference.
