Duration of internship and timings
13th June – July, 2016
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
On the very first day there were absolutely no formalities except casual introduction and we were asked to read some books on consumer laws.
The main task during my internship at CANS was to study consumer law books, cases files on consumer law, how the state consumer helpline works, how the Complaints are noted in the helpline and how to prepare notice. During my internship at CANS, I had visited district Forum and state consumer helpline. I had also interacted with the clients at CANS.
Work environment and people
Work environment at CANS was good and members of CANS were of very helping and supporting nature.
Best thing at CANS is the interaction with clients and you learn how state consumer helpline works.
No bad experience happened to me at CANS.
No stipend was given at CANS as it is an NGO.
It is not a toughest task to get an internship at CANS. At the end of the internship you are able to learn about consumer laws, how helpline works, how to frame notice, how proceedings were done at the district forum and how to interact with the clients.
I have my residence in Jaipur, but for outsiders accommodation is not a problem as there are many PG’s available at reasonable rates.
The office timings were from 10.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. (Monday – Saturday).
