First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
No formalities. I was told about the NGO and its working.
The main task was to prepare power point presentations.
Do the assigned research work. Go for field visits if you opt for it.
Work on the policies like domestic worker’s policy and child protection policy of Chetanalaya.
Work environment and people
Everybody was helpful and patient. The ambiance of office was positive.
Mr. Allan Anderson was the best thing. He would tell you what is exactly required and help you if you are stuck.
No matter what you are told to do, give your best shot. Learn different skills. It would always be an asset.
Any Other Thing
I live in Delhi only and used to commute by metro. The office is very well connected. Nearest metro station is RK Ashram Marg. You can take an rickshaw to Bhai Vir Singh marg. The office is in front of St. Columbus school.
10 am -5 pm.
You need to reach at time. They will free you if the work at hand is over. Timings can stretch a bit in evenings especially if you are out for field visits.
