Then, on behalf of university academic coordinator has given a request letter to do internship at CBI Court judge.

I have sent that letter to CBI Court after that I have sent internship letter to District Court for permission to do internship in special court.

I got permission to do internship.

Duration of internship and timings

Duration of my internship was from December 22, 2013 to January 23, 2014.

Timings were from 10 AM to 5 PM.

First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure

On the first day of internship I went to the court in formals at 10 AM.

After I got permission I have started my internship at Hon’ble justice Ms. Anupama Chakravarthy.

Therefore, during the bench I used to watch proceedings and after bench with the permission of Hon’ble Justice Ms. Anupama Chakravarthy mam I can enter into the cabin of the judge and she used to explain about proceedings and the Code of Criminal Procdure and The Indian Evidence Act.

Sometime, if the judge is busy with official work there will be no class for that day. Lunch break is from 1 PM to 2: 30 PM and timings of court were from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Totally, it was a good experience to do an internship in the special court of Central Bureau of Investigation.

Main tasks

Main tasks were to observe proceedings and to read judgments and depositions given by judge.

Work environment and people

Work environment was good and pleasant. Lawyers and other officials were also very helpful and they used to clarify my doubts whenever we asked any doubts or clarifications.

Best things

The best thing was there was no over burden.

Bad things

I haven’t experienced any bad things during my internship.

No stipend.

Biggest Lessons

Biggest lesson I was learnt during my internship was time sense and formalities in court and how a lawyer should behave in the court and I have observed that the things we are learning in Law schools is totally different from practice.
