About the firm

BMR Legal is a boutique law firm based in New Delhi specialised in taxation, combining advisory and litigation expertise with understanding of the regulatory environment and value chain knowledge to serve domestic and international clients.


A fixed remuneration would be provided to the intern according to the terms of the engagement letter.


An intern is expected to do a minimum of 4-weeks internship.

Application Process

The firm is looking for sincere students preferably in year 4 or 5 of their 5-year law program or, year 2 or 3 of their 3-year law program, and are interested to make their career in taxation. The candidate should possess excellent research and analytical skills.

Interested candidates may send in their CV with cover letter at for the months starting March, 2019.

  1. This is honestly in my experience the most terrible place to intern. The mentors are disinterested and not experts in direct tax either. The work environment is extremely toxic. I get one lined mail regarding the work assigned to me. There is no system of giving any context/background to the work assigned or for that matter any feedback whatsoever.
    I applied because I had idolized the partner […]i as an authority in international taxation. But alas the image he holds within the legal fraternity is not reflected in the team at BMR legal.

    If you are planning to intern at BMR I would recommend you to not go for it. According to me, the associates are not very qualified and the firm is not interested in having interns either. The firm does not indulge in mentoring interns and how would they when the associates themselves aren’t very clear on their concepts either. Its a sheer waste of time in my opinion.
