One can apply by sending their C.V to firstname.lastname@example.org and can expect the reply in a maximum of two weeks.
Once the confirmation is received that does not mean that they have accepted you kind-heartedly.
You will be called a day before the internship date for interview.
If you answer them well then not only you, even your college will be considered as the better one (comparatively) during the entire internship period, and if you do not then you earn a hard luck during internship period.
Duration of internship and timings
Duration of Internship was for 21 days. 6 day/week, 2 pm to 5 pm (theory class) and other timings were consumed for trips to proceedings .
First impression, first day formalities, infrastructure
After I was called a day before the internship, it was clear that they do not hesitate to make you believe in the fact that with whatsoever happens during the internship, they will get you through all the topics required by a law student prudentially.
No other formality as such was emphasized upon.
If interns were assigned with the specified timings for visiting court proceedings or arbitration then one had to strictly adhere with it, else you could end up with a missed opportunity.
But, in any case the 2 pm to 5 pm timing was fixed for the everyday theory session.
The main task assigned to the interns was to attend the theory sessions organised by the organisation.
Eminent personalities were called to deliver lectures on specialized topics. We were taken to visit court proceedings, mediation and arbitration proceedings.
Unluckily, if you miss it out then you lose to enjoy the reason you are pursuing law which makes this internship as one of the best for the beginners.
Work environment and people
The work environment was very friendly.
The head of BSLSA used to take the sessions, it was only on the specialized subjects of law where outsiders were called to deliver lectures.
The head of BSLSA was very affable and in easy reach in the office and you could clear all your doubts related with the session and proceedings.
The best thing in BSLSA is that you get to understand the theoretical overview of what you are going to deal in coming years of your law school with the help of theory sessions and proceedings.
Well! Here comes the role play of the infrastructure.
The office of BSLSA is undoubtedly very expanded and big.
But I wish the government could have at least managed to have the proper electricity facilities for the working people.
Yes, we were made to sit with ceiling fans but without electricity.
The biggest lesson learnt in the office of BSLSA could be grasped when you see the office people taking extra efforts for making you understand the insights of law.
And it will compel you to ponder if you could get them as teachers in college.
